Summary
This study tested two medications, roflumilast and azithromycin, to see which one works better at preventing hospitalizations or death in people with severe COPD and chronic bronchitis. Over 1,000 participants were followed for up to 72 months. The goal was to find the most effective way to reduce serious flare-ups and improve daily function.
