Robots and video games aim to rewire damaged brains
NCT ID NCT07384143
Summary
This study is testing if a new type of physical therapy using robotic arms and video game-like exercises can help improve both thinking skills and arm movement in adults with Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or who have had a stroke. Researchers will compare this high-tech therapy to standard physical therapy to see which works better. About 189 participants will complete 25 therapy sessions over a few months and take tests to measure changes in memory, attention, and physical ability.
