First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 12, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This international study compares two minimally invasive surgical techniques for removing benign or pre-cancerous tumors from the left side of the pancreas. 256 patients will be randomly assigned to either laparoscopic (surgeon uses hand-held tools) or robot-assisted surgery. Researchers will track recovery, complications, and hospital costs for 90 days after surgery to determine which approach leads to better outcomes.
