Robot vs traditional surgery: which is better for pancreas operations?
NCT ID NCT06939023
Summary
This international study compares two types of minimally invasive surgery for removing benign or pre-cancerous tumors from the left side of the pancreas. 256 patients will be randomly assigned to either laparoscopic (traditional keyhole) surgery or robot-assisted surgery, with neither patients nor surgeons knowing which method was used during recovery. Researchers will track recovery outcomes, complications, and hospital costs over 90 days to determine which approach leads to better results.
