NCT ID NCT03937700
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This trial tests a robotic exoskeleton called the CPWalker to help children with cerebral palsy improve their walking. The device supports the child's weight and assists leg movements during walking practice. The study includes 30 participants aged 11 to 21 with spastic diplegia. Researchers will measure walking speed and endurance to see if the training works.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a new way to improve walking speed and endurance for children with cerebral palsy.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 30 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The device may not work for all types of cerebral palsy.
