Robots aim to improve breast cancer surgery outcomes

NCT ID NCT04537312

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether robot-assisted surgery can safely perform nipple-sparing mastectomies for early-stage breast cancer or risk reduction. Researchers want to see if using robotic tools through small incisions can remove breast tissue completely while preserving the nipple and skin for better cosmetic results. The study will track complications, surgical time, hospital stays, and patient satisfaction to determine if this approach is feasible and safe.
