Summary

This study tests whether a hospital-customized plan (ROAD Home) reduces unnecessary antibiotic use at discharge for adults with pneumonia or urinary tract infections. Forty hospitals are randomly assigned to either use this tailored approach or continue their usual practices. The goal is to see if the customized plan leads to fewer days of antibiotic overuse without harming patient outcomes.
