Summary

This study tested whether rituximab, a drug used for certain cancers and autoimmune diseases, can reduce joint pain and swelling in people with scleroderma (systemic sclerosis) who have arthritis. 22 adults with active joint inflammation took part. Researchers counted tender and swollen joints and also measured quality of life and skin and lung changes.
