Steam treatment eases prostate symptoms without major surgery

Summary

This study tested a treatment called Rezūm, which uses water vapor (steam) to shrink an enlarged prostate. It included 129 men aged 45 to 96 who had trouble urinating. The goal was to see if the treatment is safe and works well when done under local anesthesia with sedation. Results showed improved urinary symptoms and quality of life with few serious side effects.
