VA offers cash rewards to veterans trying to quit smoking
NCT ID NCT06432985
Summary
This study is testing a mobile phone program that gives Veterans small rewards for quitting smoking, especially those getting lung cancer screening or cancer care. First, researchers will design the program with feedback from Veterans and staff. Then, they'll test if the reward program, combined with counseling and medication, helps people quit over five weeks. If successful, they'll run a larger trial comparing it to standard VA quit support.
