Leg gadgets tested for brain boost in stroke patients

NCT ID NCT07197996

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at two leg devices—a nerve stimulator and a compression sleeve—to see if they change blood flow to the brain in people who recently had an ischemic stroke. About 80 adults within 36 hours of their stroke will be randomly assigned to use one of the devices as part of standard care. The goal is to measure brain blood flow, not to treat the stroke.
