New diabetes drug retatrutide shows promise in early trial

Summary
This study tests a new medicine called retatrutide in adults with type 2 diabetes. The goal is to see if it improves how the body makes and uses insulin after 28 weeks. About 95 people will take part, and the results will be compared to a placebo and another diabetes drug.
