First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving less fluid to newborns with transient tachypnea (rapid breathing) helps them recover faster. Fifty babies born at 34 weeks or later were randomly assigned to receive either restricted or standard fluid therapy. The main goals were to see how long they needed breathing support and how soon they could go home.
