First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests a special dissolving scaffold coated with a drug to keep leg arteries open in 400 people with severe limb-threatening ischemia. The scaffold releases medicine to prevent re-blockage and then dissolves over time, avoiding permanent metal stents. The goal is to improve blood flow and reduce the need for repeat procedures.
