First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether repeated steroid injections around a nerve in the back of the head can prevent cluster headache attacks in people with chronic cluster headache. About 50 adults with at least 4 attacks per week will receive either the steroid injection or a placebo, and researchers will track how long they stay in the study and how their attacks change over a year. The goal is to find a better way to control these painful headaches.
