New hope for stubborn heart rhythm problems

NCT ID NCT05817318

Summary

This study is testing if a procedure called renal denervation can help control atrial fibrillation (AFib) in patients whose irregular heartbeat keeps coming back despite previous successful heart ablation. Researchers will use a small implanted heart monitor to track the frequency of AFib episodes in 40 patients for 3 months before and 6 months after the kidney nerve procedure. The goal is to see if calming the nerves to the kidneys can reduce the burden of these disruptive heart rhythm episodes.
