Heart attack patients sent home with High-Tech monitors to avoid hospital returns
NCT ID NCT05015634
Summary
This study tested if sending heart attack patients home with special remote monitoring equipment could help them manage their recovery and avoid unnecessary trips back to the hospital. Over 300 patients who recently had a heart attack were randomly assigned to either receive the home monitoring kit or get standard follow-up care. The goal was to see if the remote technology could reduce hospital readmissions and emergency room visits over 9 months.
