First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests if a newer sedative, remimazolam, works as well as the standard midazolam for colonoscopy in 200 adults with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's or ulcerative colitis). Participants will receive one of the two drugs plus fentanyl for pain, then rate their satisfaction and be checked for how quickly they recover. The goal is to see if remimazolam offers a better experience and faster discharge.
