New study tests at-home rehab for seniors after pneumonia or UTI
NCT ID NCT06689280
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a personalized exercise program, started in the hospital and continued at home with video supervision, can help older adults recover after being hospitalized for pneumonia or a urinary tract infection. The goal is to see if this approach is safe, improves physical function, and reduces the chance of being readmitted to the hospital. About 460 participants will be split into two groups: one gets the exercise program plus standard care, the other gets standard care alone.
