Real-World data: does takhzyro stop HAE swelling in saudi patients?
NCT ID NCT07263685
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks back at medical records of 50 people in Saudi Arabia with hereditary angioedema (HAE) who took Takhzyro (lanadelumab) to prevent attacks. Researchers want to see if the drug reduces HAE activity and improves quality of life after 6 to 12 months. No new treatments are given; only existing data is reviewed.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Takhzyro (lanadelumab)
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could confirm that Takhzyro works well in real-world Saudi patients, supporting its use to prevent HAE attacks and improve daily life.
What could go wrong
This is a small, retrospective chart review (50 patients) that only looks at existing data, so it cannot prove cause and effect. Results may not apply to all HAE patients.
