New laser camera could revolutionize oral cancer detection

Summary

This study is testing a special camera that uses laser light to take detailed pictures of mouth sores. The goal is to see if this camera can help doctors find oral cancer early and guide surgery. About 140 people with mouth cancer will have their sores photographed before surgery, and the pictures will be compared to standard lab tests.
