First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested a precise radiation method called multi-beam IMRT in 100 women with breast cancer who had implant reconstruction after mastectomy. The goal was to see if this technique lowers the chance of implant failure and other side effects compared to standard radiation. By using more beams, doctors aimed to protect the implant and nearby healthy tissues.
