First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether two drugs—N-acetyl cysteine and a short course of dexamethasone—can reduce severe shortness of breath after lung radiation in people with both lung cancer and interstitial lung disease. About 98 participants will receive either the drugs or placebos. The goal is to see if these treatments can make breathing easier after radiation therapy.
