First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether having extra, supportive ward rounds (four times a day instead of two) with simple relaxation exercises can lower anxiety in hospitalized adults waiting for a therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy. About 1,000 participants will be assigned to either standard care or the enhanced check-in routine. The main goal is to see if anxiety scores improve within 24 hours before the procedure.
