New combo therapy aims to boost remission in tough rectal cancers

Summary
This study tests a new approach for people with high-risk locally advanced rectal cancer. It combines a shorter course of radiation with chemotherapy and an immunotherapy drug (serplulimab). The goal is to see if this combination leads to more complete remissions compared to the standard treatment. About 165 participants will be enrolled in this phase 2 trial.
