First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using a balloon to block the aorta (a major blood vessel) during a heart attack outside the hospital can help blood flow to the heart and brain. It involves 40 adults who are in cardiac arrest and receiving standard emergency care. The goal is to see if this procedure is possible and if it improves blood pressure and oxygen levels.
