First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests a new cell therapy for children and young adults (ages 2-30) with severe lupus that hasn't responded to standard treatments. Doctors take a patient's own T cells, genetically modify them to target and destroy harmful B cells, and then give them back. The main goals are to check safety and see if the treatment can control the disease.
