New Brain-Zapping therapy aims to boost recovery after severe head trauma

NCT ID NCT07373366

First seen Jan 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests a noninvasive treatment called REAC that uses gentle electrical signals to help rebalance brain activity after a severe traumatic brain injury. Researchers will compare real REAC sessions to a sham (fake) version in 60 patients to see if it improves brain wave patterns and daily function. The goal is to ease symptoms and support recovery, not to cure the injury.
