First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study tests whether a medication called RE03 (dexmedetomidine), already used in hospitals, can improve sleep quality in people with PTSD who struggle with sleep disturbances like nightmares. About 24 adults with PTSD will receive either the drug or a placebo in a random order to compare effects. The goal is to find a better treatment for sleep problems that current PTSD therapies often fail to address.
