Scientists test second round of radiation for deadly brain cancer

NCT ID NCT02709226

Summary

This study tested the safety of giving a second course of radiation to people whose aggressive brain tumor (glioblastoma) had grown back after initial treatment. The main goal was to find the highest dose of repeat radiation that patients could tolerate without severe side effects. Seventeen adults who had been treated with radiation over a year prior participated, receiving daily treatments for 2-3 weeks.
