New hope for rare cancers: drug combo trial opens for Hard-to-Treat GU tumors

Summary
This study tests whether a chemotherapy drug (sacituzumab govitecan) alone or with an immunotherapy (atezolizumab) can shrink rare cancers of the bladder, kidney, ureters, or penis. About 60 adults with advanced tumors that cannot be removed by surgery will receive treatment for up to 5 years. The goal is to see how many participants respond and how long the benefit lasts.
