First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests a new rapid triage test for children with fever in sub-Saharan Africa. The goal is to see if adding this test to standard care helps doctors better decide which children need hospital admission and which can go home safely. About 5,200 children aged 2 months to 5 years will take part. The test measures specific biomarkers to quickly identify those at risk of life-threatening infections.
