First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested a non-surgical treatment for breast cancer in 21 patients aged 70 and older who could not or would not have surgery. Doctors used ultrasound to guide a needle that heats and destroys the tumor, combined with hormone therapy. The goal was to see if this approach could control the cancer and prevent it from coming back within one and five years.
