Radiation boost may extend life in early-spread lung cancer

NCT ID NCT06141070

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding targeted, high-dose radiation to standard drug therapy (chemotherapy or immunotherapy) helps people with non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to up to 5 spots live longer. About 240 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either standard treatment alone or standard treatment plus radiation to all known cancer spots. The main goal is to see if the combination improves overall survival.
