Zap and stay: radiation may let patients keep current breast cancer treatment longer

NCT ID NCT06260033

Summary

This study is testing a precise, high-dose radiation treatment for people with estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer that has spread to a few new spots in the body. The goal is to see if zapping those few spots with radiation allows patients to safely continue their current cancer drugs for at least six more months, instead of having to switch treatments. Researchers will also test a special imaging scan to better find cancer spots that have estrogen receptors.
