New device zaps kidney nerves to tame high blood pressure

Summary
This study tests a device that uses energy to calm overactive nerves in the kidneys, which can help lower blood pressure. It included 282 adults with high blood pressure, some on medication and some not. Participants were randomly assigned to get the real procedure or a sham (fake) procedure to see if the device safely reduces blood pressure.
