First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a bedside blood monitoring device (Quantra QPlus) can help doctors decide when to give blood transfusions during complex heart surgery. About 666 adults having high-risk heart surgery will be randomly assigned to either the new device or standard lab tests. The goal is to see if the device reduces the number of blood products needed during and shortly after surgery.
