New hope for veterans: therapy combo aims to stop suicidal thoughts

Summary
This study tests whether adding a brief crisis coping strategy (Crisis Response Planning) to a standard PTSD talk therapy (Cognitive Processing Therapy) can reduce suicidal thoughts and behaviors in veterans and active-duty service members. About 190 participants with PTSD and recent suicidal thoughts will receive the combined treatment. The goal is to ease symptoms and prevent suicide.
