Surfer's eye surgery may sharpen vision by reshaping cornea
NCT ID NCT07198126
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how removing a pterygium (a fleshy growth on the eye) and replacing it with a small piece of the patient's own eye tissue changes the shape of the cornea. Researchers will measure the cornea's curve before and one month after surgery in 130 adults aged 30 to 70. The goal is to see if this surgery reduces astigmatism and improves vision quality.
