First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested an eye drop called RMP-A03 in 77 healthy volunteers and people with pterygium, a fleshy growth on the eye. The goal was to see if it safely reduces redness and controls the condition. Participants received either a low dose, high dose, or placebo drops, and researchers measured changes in redness over 28 days.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
RMP-A03 eye drops
What this could lead to
If it works, this could lead to a non-surgical treatment to reduce redness and control pterygium growth.
What could go wrong
This is an early-phase trial with only 77 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The treatment may not work better than placebo, and side effects are possible.
