Scientists hunt for hidden protein clue in psoriasis

NCT ID NCT01538342

First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looked at skin samples from 170 people with psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, or healthy skin to understand how a protein called Lyn is involved in inflammation. Researchers measured Lyn levels and activity, along with other inflammatory markers. The goal was to see if a specific form of Lyn could be a new marker for psoriasis, not just general skin inflammation.
