Magic mushroom therapy trial offers hope for Tough-to-Treat PTSD
NCT ID NCT06386003
Summary
This study is testing whether combining a single dose of psilocybin (a compound found in 'magic mushrooms') with an intensive week of therapy can help people with chronic, treatment-resistant PTSD. Fifteen participants will receive the combined treatment and be followed for 12 weeks to see if it's safe, tolerable, and reduces their symptoms. The goal is to see if this approach works better than standard therapy alone for those who haven't found relief.
