New study aims to reduce radiation side effects for women with gynecologic cancers

Summary

This study compares two standard radiation methods—proton therapy and photon therapy—for women with newly diagnosed cervical or endometrial cancer. The goal is to see which approach causes fewer stomach and bowel side effects. About 116 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments.
