Cancer radiation study aims to reduce painful side effects

Summary
This study compares two types of radiation therapy given after surgery for cervical or endometrial cancer to see which causes fewer short-term side effects. Researchers want to know if proton radiation causes less bowel and bladder irritation than standard intensity-modulated radiation. About 120 patients who have had a hysterectomy will complete questionnaires about their symptoms and quality of life during and after treatment.
