Summary

This study tests a special type of radiation called proton therapy that is designed to spare the heart in women with stage II or III breast cancer who need radiation after surgery. About 220 participants will receive this treatment and be followed for up to 15 years to track side effects, heart health, and cancer recurrence. The goal is to see if this approach reduces long-term heart damage compared to standard radiation.
