First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at 32 adults with liver cirrhosis to see if their blood proteins and gut bacteria differ between those who develop hepatic encephalopathy (brain fog) and those who don't. By identifying unique patterns, researchers hope to better understand the condition and guide future diagnosis and treatment. Participants provide blood and stool samples for analysis, and no experimental treatments are given.
