First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a custom dental device called a palatal augmentation prosthesis (PAP) can improve speech and swallowing after surgery for small tongue cancers (T1/T2). About 40 adults will be randomly assigned to receive the device or standard care. Researchers will measure how clearly they can speak words and sentences before and up to one year after surgery.
