New MRI technique could better track prostate cancer without treatment

Summary
This study tests a special MRI scan that uses a natural substance (hyperpolarized pyruvate) to see how active prostate cancer cells are. It involves 60 men with low- to intermediate-risk prostate cancer who are not receiving treatment but are being watched closely (active surveillance). The goal is to see if this scan can help doctors better monitor the cancer and decide when a biopsy is needed.
