Doctors find simple tilt could speed recovery for tiny heart patients

NCT ID NCT07323979

Summary

This study tested whether placing children on their stomachs at specific head-up angles (10°, 30°, or 45°) helps their heart and lung recovery after congenital heart surgery. Researchers monitored 102 infants and children to see which angle best improved breathing support and allowed them to better tolerate tube feeding. The goal was to find a safe, simple positioning method to aid recovery in the intensive care unit.
