NCT ID NCT05420181
First seen Dec 18, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at whether fasting for about 16 hours overnight, instead of the usual 10 hours, changes how the body uses food for energy and builds muscle protein. Nine healthy young men took part. Researchers measured blood sugar, insulin, and muscle protein building after a protein drink to see if a longer fast makes muscles more sensitive to nutrients.
