First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether fasting for about 16 hours overnight (instead of the usual 10) changes how the body handles food and builds muscle. Nine healthy young men took part. Researchers measured blood sugar, insulin, and muscle protein building after a protein drink. The goal was to understand if longer daily fasting periods have health benefits.
