First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether fasting for a longer period each night could help prevent blood cancer in overweight or obese people who have early signs of multiple myeloma or related conditions. Twenty-three participants were randomly assigned to either a prolonged nightly fasting plan or a healthy lifestyle group for four months. Researchers measured changes in body composition and blood markers to see if the fasting approach could reduce cancer risk.
